Alright guys here's the deal of the year on a super high end rod right here. Due to a customer not being able to follow through on an order I have a pair of Sage TXL's that I will be selling for just enough to recoup my money I have invested into the parts and labor. So in other words this is a smoking deal for you guys.

This is a BRAND NEW Sage TXL 6'3" 3wt 3pc Custom rod. The reel seat is a custom turned piece of Tasmanian burl with light weight fine thread hardware on it. The grip is custom turned and all Lamar exotic corks using Brown burl cork, Aransas cork, and Burnt cork and is a reverse half wells (Western) style shape. The guides are top of the line REC Recoil guides which are the highest end quality&price of fly guides on the market today. The stripper is also REC Recoil. Wraps are Gudebrod Classic Twist green&black with Color Preserver and metallic silver trim bands. Finish on the rod is Threadmaster finish which will never yellow or fade due to it's UV inhibitors in it so the finish will stay clear for ever.

This rod needs to be felt to understand just how light it is. It's like holding a feather in your hand, probably the lightest 3wt you will find.

If you look around and price the Sage TXL you will see that the cheapest you will find one for is over $550 and thats just for the factory rod which doesn't have the REC recoil guides, or a custom grip or custom seat, or anywhere near the quality of build as this one. And a Custom TXL like this would normally run you $650 or more. Since I'm just recouping my money though then this is your chance to get the Sage TXL for the lowest price you will ever find anywhere. Price on this one here on this site before I list it for sale elsewhere is only $385 firm. You wont be able to bet that price anywhere on this rod!

Backed by the full Sage warranty as well as Midwest Custom Fly Rods warranty.

Price drop to $325 which I don't need to tell anyone is a flat out steal for this Sage. I just need to get my money back out of it on this deal. Lowest and only price drop because any less than that I will actually lose money. Not to mention $325 is already a stupid low price for a Custom Sage TXL so if it doesn't sell at that price then looks like it will find a new home in my own personal rod rack.

BTW- Just to give you guys an idea of exactly how good a price $325 is for this, this is a break down of parts cost..

Sage TXL blank shipped &tax - $304
REC recoil stripper $6.50
Rec SFG set $20.86
Tazmanian insert and hardware $29.00
Lamar cork for grip $22
Top/keeper&wc $3

That's $385 just in parts, before any labor or work is even done. So when I say $325 is a steal then that isnt a lie, thats a hell of a price and if I hadent already been able to recoup a bit of the money from the customer then this rod would be listed for alot more than $325

Would you be able to ship to Canada? Kingston Ontario specifically? Is so would you have any idea on shipping and border/brokerage fees?

This rod is easily worth what you were asking and more. I am a rod builder too and I appreciate your custom work. Has this rod sold? I will buy it for more than 325.00 today, 6.29.2009. Let me know, please, my brother is turning 50 and this is the rod he wants - I have to check length to be sure.

Ahh, my bro is looking for a 3wt 710, so I jumped the gun a bit. Great price for a such beautiful workmanship though.
