Okuma SLV. Great reel for a great price ($35 +- $5), and it's a disc drag too!

Guess it depends on your price point. If you're budget concious, Albrights are great.

Lamson Konic($125) or Lamson Guru ($189). And spend the extra on a good fly line.

i will vote for the Okuma also, unless you really want to spend more money, then go for the Konic

The Lamson Konic was mentioned earlier.

I have that reel and it is great. I use it on a Scott 4 wt rod. I looked at a lot of reels and it seemed to be great quality for a reasonable price. Before that I had that I had a rod and reel that came in a kit by Orvis, it was the Green Mountain series.

I bought that rig when I was about 16 maybe, and I used it until I was 35. Rock solid stuff there. I still use it today on larger rivers and lakes.

find yourself one of the recently discontinued Ross Evolutions in the #2 size and you'll be all set, thats one of the best reels I've ever used for trout at any price range. You should easily be able to find one for under $200..................

Something to look at would be the Okuma Vashon. Machined aluminum and an excellent reel all the way around.
